Sorry for the long absence, i've just gotten back from holidays and just a tad bit lazy...
As I sit here re-reading my first blog post post and reflecting on the year that was, I feel blessed with the opportunities i've had and how i'm steadily progressing. I've had the opportunity to work with many other talented Adelaide hair and makeup artists who have helped take on brides/weddings that I am unable to do and also being trusted to take on brides/weddings that they are unable to do so I will never have to worry about letting anyone down. I've attended to many brides and wedding parties and worked with some wonderful people which has led to some of my hair and makeup work featured/published online at Fashionising.com, fawn magazine and Style me pretty.com. Something I totally wasn't expecting to happen so soon, not that it's a bad thing! So i'll have to change my goal to getting publish in a Bridal magazine in the future instead.
After a year of weddings i'm still not the most sort after bridal stylist in Adelaide :P but thats something that will take time, practice and dedication, something I'm willing to work very hard for.
I can't wait to attend more materclasses, workshops and info nights so I can meet new people, update my knowledge and improve my skills. I also can't wait to meet more brides and listen to how they've styled their wedding, there's nothing better than hearing them describe details then showing me pictures of hair, makeup, dresses, flowers and cake! then seeing their look all come together on the big day and then seeing their wedding photos at the end when its even better than anything they could ever describe.
Last but not least thank all 2 of my readers, this blog has been more about my bridal business but I hope to bring you more wedding related posts as well as bridal looks, hair, makeup and nails in the future!
